"Saying 'I notice you're a nerd' is like saying, 'Hey, I notice that you'd rather be intelligent than be stupid, that you'd rather be thoughtful than be vapid, that you believe that there are things that matter more than the arrest record of Lindsay Lohan. Why is that?' In fact, it seems to me that most contemporary insults are pretty lame. Even 'lame' is kind of lame. Saying 'You're lame' is like saying 'You walk with a limp.' Yeah, whatever, so does 50 Cent, and he's done all right for himself."— John Green

Bookshelf Tour: YA Books

The other day, I decided to give a little tour of my YA bookshelf in my room.  The video is long, but I have a lot of books and I hate passing any up.  So I' posting it here for anyone who wants to check out my collection.  I'm also in the process of cataloguing all my books on Goodreads and hopefully will be posting a list soon!

  1. I love bookshelf tours. You should definitely do as many more as you feel like :D

I'm a little surprised you didn't like Nightshade. But that's mainly because I really liked it. I cannot wait to get my hands on Wolfsbane this summer.

  2. Erika, I'm going to try and read Nightshade again because most people I've talked to liked it. I think I have a problem with the vague explanation given for why there are wolves, why they live where they live etc etc etc.

But because it is a debut, I'm going to try and give her the benefit of the doubt and hope the next book is a little more solid.

  3. What a great tour! Thanks. You have a great selection. I only buy my favorites and get the rest from the library. My shelves are barren compared to yours:-)

  4. Yes, buying books is an addiction of mine. I hate reading books and not owning them, even if I only liked it a little. I'm hoping to start my own classroom library with some of my personal books. I think that's a big reason why I keep all of them!
