"Saying 'I notice you're a nerd' is like saying, 'Hey, I notice that you'd rather be intelligent than be stupid, that you'd rather be thoughtful than be vapid, that you believe that there are things that matter more than the arrest record of Lindsay Lohan. Why is that?' In fact, it seems to me that most contemporary insults are pretty lame. Even 'lame' is kind of lame. Saying 'You're lame' is like saying 'You walk with a limp.' Yeah, whatever, so does 50 Cent, and he's done all right for himself."— John Green

Wednesday's Child Is Full Of Woe by Anji Johnston

Monday's child is fair of face,
Tuesday's child is full of grace,
Wednesday's child is full of woe,
Thursday's child has far to go.
Friday's child is loving and giving,
Saturday's child works hard for a living,
But the child born on the Sabbath Day,
Is fair and wise and good in every way.

January 20, 1988 was a Wednesday. That makes me "full of woe". Now is this something I should believe? Most people would probably say no, that it is ridiculous to think that the day one is born on has anything to do with your disposition. Well for someone who believes that nature effects everyone, I'd say I'm giving it a little credit. I am highly sensitive, and quite frequently fall into a depression.

But I don't really have any comparisons for it besides my siblings. My older sister was born on a Friday, which makes her "loving and giving". This describes her to the letter. She acts much like a surrogate mother to me and my younger brother. He, on the other hand, is also "full of woe". Again this is an apt description. He is prone to bouts of low self-confidence and depression. However many times his is expressed in anger.

I guess this is all still subjective. One can look at a description and fight themselves into the category provided regardless of the truth of the statement. Nonetheless, it is interesting food for thought.
