"Saying 'I notice you're a nerd' is like saying, 'Hey, I notice that you'd rather be intelligent than be stupid, that you'd rather be thoughtful than be vapid, that you believe that there are things that matter more than the arrest record of Lindsay Lohan. Why is that?' In fact, it seems to me that most contemporary insults are pretty lame. Even 'lame' is kind of lame. Saying 'You're lame' is like saying 'You walk with a limp.' Yeah, whatever, so does 50 Cent, and he's done all right for himself."— John Green

Teaser Tuesday (22)

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be ReadingAnyone can play along! Just do the following!
  • Grab your current read.
  • Open to a random page.
  • Share a few teaser sentences from somewhere on that page.
  • MAKE SURE NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (you don't want to give too much away and ruin the book for other readers)
  • Share the title and author too, so that other readers can add your book to their TBR list if they like your teaser!

 Invisible by Jeanne Bannon

I step forward so she can see me. "Justine?" I reach to
touch her shoulder but, impossibly, my hand falls through
her.
"Justine?" I call again, louder, my voice panic-laced.
With both hands, I grab her, or try to. Again, it‘s as if she‘s
not there.
My mind is swept along in a current of anxiety. What’s
happening? Then it hits me... it‘s me who‘s not there.

I just got this book for review from Jeanne.  I'm really excited to read it!  As you can tell from the teaser it grabs you right away!  I'll hopefully be putting up my review and author interview by the end of the week!
