"Saying 'I notice you're a nerd' is like saying, 'Hey, I notice that you'd rather be intelligent than be stupid, that you'd rather be thoughtful than be vapid, that you believe that there are things that matter more than the arrest record of Lindsay Lohan. Why is that?' In fact, it seems to me that most contemporary insults are pretty lame. Even 'lame' is kind of lame. Saying 'You're lame' is like saying 'You walk with a limp.' Yeah, whatever, so does 50 Cent, and he's done all right for himself."— John Green

Review Policy/Rating System

I review books as fast as I can and books for review come before personal books.   I will try to keep the turn around time speedy, but as I am still in university and hold a job, sometimes things may come up which may postpone the review.  For ARCs, I will work to post the review before it's release date.  I try to have a review up in two weeks minimum, but that can be extended up to a month if my personal life is busy.

All books that I review were either purchased by me, won in a contest, or sent for review from the publisher, agent, or author, and this will be specified on my review post. I am in no way compensated for books sent to me. If I am sent a review copy, it is in return for an honest review.

I am currently ONLY reviewing young adult and middle grade books.  My two favorite genres are fantasy and sci-fi.

I do NOT read Christian clean books, westerns, and straight "Harlequin" romances.

I DO accept ARCs and finished printed copies if they relate to any of the genres that I review.

I do NOT accept e-books or self-published books at this time

I do NOT accept series books, unless it is the first book in the series; while I love to buy books, I won't spend money to complete a series just to review one book.

If you are interested in contacting me to request a book review, my email is:

I use a slightly more elaborate system than most reviewers; I think it's due to my English literature background.  Also, I believe that each of the aspects below contribute to the book as a whole.  I consider each of these things when determining how well the book appealed to me.

The overall score a book can get is 50/50.

This is based on 6 different criteria:

Book Cover - 5 pts
Book Title - 5 pts
Plot - 10 pts
Characters - 10 pts
Writing - 10 pts
Ending - 10 pts
I add all the points together which totals the overall score for the book.

After I add the points up and find the total, I find the percentage and assign an A, B, C, D, or F.  This system is how you'll find the reviews based on Tags.

If you ever have any questions on why I gave a book a certain rating in any area, just drop me an email at eliweibley@gmail.com and I'll elaborate.
