"Saying 'I notice you're a nerd' is like saying, 'Hey, I notice that you'd rather be intelligent than be stupid, that you'd rather be thoughtful than be vapid, that you believe that there are things that matter more than the arrest record of Lindsay Lohan. Why is that?' In fact, it seems to me that most contemporary insults are pretty lame. Even 'lame' is kind of lame. Saying 'You're lame' is like saying 'You walk with a limp.' Yeah, whatever, so does 50 Cent, and he's done all right for himself."— John Green

Follow Friday (10)

Follow Friday is hosted by Parajunkee at Parajunkee's View.  It is an awesome opportunity to network other book blogs.  Here's a blurb about it from her site!
Hi, welcome to Follow Friday! Let me tell you what is going on today.
  • First PJV will be featuring one blogger from this great community each Friday along with having the Follow My Book Blog feature.
  • Each week one blogger will be selected as a feature, so sign up for the Follow Feature. Future features are picked randomly.
This week's question is:
In light of the summer solstice, also known as Midsummer, let's talk about fairies! What is your favorite fairy tale or story that revolves around the fey?
This is super easy for me because I love love love fairy stories!

YA favorite:

The Iron Fey series by Julie Kagawa

Adult favorite:

The Merry Gentry series by Laurell K. Hamilton

Both series are so good, and contain traditional and new elements of the fae.
And both have romance (of course Merry Gentry also has TONS of sex so NOT for kids at all!). You should check them out if you haven't already!

  2. Hi NF, I also love the Meredith Gentry series. I like how fae sexuality is explored - and i mean that seriously. Hamilton takes an idea that is commonn about fae and really develops it. I would honestly love to see Frost's hair. Hope you will come by and follow too. <a href="http://fangswandsandfairydust.com”)> Fangs, Wands and Fairy Dust</a>
