The book will be hitting the shelves at a bookstore near you! What book am I talking about?  Well just the one I've been talking about for the past SEVEN days, Michelle Madow's newest book, THE SECRET DIAMOND SISTERS.

She has written a fun, sexy, and fast-paced novel about the lavish world of the Las Vegas elite, and the three everyday sisters caught up in it's web!  I loved the book so much, and I'm very excited to be a part of this amazing 7-day countdown organized by Tiffany at About to Read.  First, don't forget to catch up on all the posts!

Nearly New Books Giveaway!

I Am a Reader, Not a Writer hosts this awesome feature each Tuesday.  I too love to receive books in the mail, and to buy the books I want to read. And while I might not get rid of the books I read (I re-read them all the time), there are some books that don't have a place on my shelves.  I figure giving them away would be nice!  This won't be a feature every Tuesday, like at I Am a Reader, Not a Writer, but it'll pop up now and then.

Banned Books Week Hop

I am finally participating in one of I Am a Reader, Not a Writer's many awesome book hops.  This book hop is particularly important to me as I am book advocate, and a member of ALA (Librarian-in-Training!).  I wholeheartedly believe that no book should ever be banned from anyone or challenged by anyone, even if the information contained within clearly opposes a person's personal beliefs (First Amendment anyone?).  You can read more about Banned Books Week at the ALA website or the Banned Books Week website.

For this hop I am giving away two books which have been challenged and banned: Looking for Alaska by John Green and Wintergirls by Laurie Halse Anderson.  I adore both of these authors and really feel that their books speak to teenagers, and help them deal with issues they face all the time.  I'm also adding some extras to each package!
